Reading and Interpreting Strong Motion Accelerograms

Libro: Reading and Interpreting Strong Motion Accelerograms
Autor: D. E. Hudson
Editorial: Earthquake Engineering Research institute

The motion of the ground during destructive earthquakes is measured by instruments called strong motion accelerographs; the records of ground acceleration versus time produced by accelerographs are called accelerograms. Accelerograms provide a description of the ground motion in a form suitable for analysis of structural response and, hence, they play a fundamental role in the study of all phases of earthquake engineering
